What is Fine Food Queensland?

Fine Food Queensland is a trade show bringing the retail, foodservice and hospitality industry together to do business, bringing national suppliers to your doorstep and showcasing Queensland’s own world-class producers. The next Fine Food Queensland show will return to Brisbane in 2018.

When is the exhibition open?

Opening hours will be released closer to the next event in 2018.

Where is the exhibition being held?

The exhibition will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, which is located at corner of Merivale Road and Glenelg Street, South Bank, Brisbane. For public transport, information including timetables please visit www.bcec.com.au.

Who can attend?

Fine Food Queensland is a strictly trade only event. Entry is restricted to members of the retail, foodservice and hospitality industry. Proof of business identification may be required.
As this is a business event for those people working in the industry, we ask visitors not to bring anyone under the age of 15 to the show. The exception is infants under one year old that cannot be separated from their primary caregiver. If you bring an infant we strongly recommend that you carry them in a baby harness due to crowds (strictly no prams allowed at the show). Tertiary students with valid student ID will be admitted.

Can students attend?

Students enrolled in a hospitality course at a tertiary level or registered apprentices may attend the show if they have the appropriate student identity card. Primary and Secondary school students will not be admitted at any time, regardless of any courses they may be studying.

Students need to be mindful this is a business event and need to be respectful of exhibitors and their time. Exhibitors are here to engage in business opportunities. Please be considerate of their time and also promotional material and samples available.

Can I bring my family?

As this is a business event for those people working in the industry, we ask visitors not to bring anyone under the age of 15 to the show. The exception is infants under one year old that cannot be separated from their primary caregiver. If you bring an infant we strongly recommend that you carry them in a baby harness due to crowds (strictly no prams allowed at the show).

Are there child-minding facilities?

No. If you are traveling from interstate we suggest you organise a baby-sitter through your hotel or by looking up ‘Baby Sitters’ in the Yellow Pages.

Do I need a Visa for Australia?

Most international visitors will require a Visa to enter Australia. Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Consulate in your own country or in some cases can be made online. For more information visit the Australian Government Immigration site.

Can you provide me with an invitation letter so I can apply for a visitor visa?

It is not our company policy to provide invitation letters to visitors wishing to attend our shows. For more information on what to do you are best to visit the Department of Immigration website.

Will I need to bring identification with me?

Yes. Proof of industry involvement may be requested at the registration counters or the entrance. We suggest you bring along a business card, invoice or company documentation along with personal identification such as a drivers licence or passport.

When do registrations open?

Visitor Registrations for the next show will open closer to the event in 2018.

How many exhibitors are there?

There will be more than 150 exhibitors displaying food, drink and equipment at the show. They will come from all across Queensland, as well as throughout Australia.

Will there be any special events?

Yes. There will be a range of special events designed to educate and inspire visitors and help them to grow their businesses.  More information will be provided closer to the next event.

What are the conditions of entry?

Fine Food Queensland is a strictly trade only event. Entry is restricted to members of the retail, foodservice and hospitality industry. Proof of business identification may be required and may include:

  • a business card in your name, or
  • employee verification on company letterhead, or
  • evidence of membership of a relevant professional or industry association

As this is a business event for those people working in the industry, we ask visitors not to bring anyone under the age of 15 to the show. The exception is infants under one year old that cannot be separated from their primary caregiver. If you bring an infant we strongly recommend that you carry them in a baby harness due to crowds (strictly no prams allowed at the show).

This condition of entry applies to the children of both visitors and exhibitors. Under no circumstances are any children permitted into the exhibition halls during Move In and Move Out of the show.

Tertiary students with valid student ID will be admitted.
